FORMAL FACULTY OBSERVATIONS/EVALUATIONS

The Administration of CDS is constantly working to evaluate all aspects of the school.  Principals visitthe classrooms weekly.  Every faculty/staff member is evaluated annually.  These evaluations begin during the second quarter of the school year and are done using a specific rotation depending on longevity at CDS.  The first set of evaluations will be done before Christmas vacation with the second set done in January.  One piece of these evaluations is the accumulation of parent surveys regarding the teachers. To that end, parents are strongly encouraged to visit the link below and follow the directions to participate in the parent surveys.  These are obviously teacher-specific.  The teachers in the first round of evaluations will be listed now for parental feedback and these formswill be available for several weeks.  Then, theremainder of the teachers will have survey forms posted.  Thank you ahead of time for your partnership in this process.

HOMEWORK TRACKING FORMS

The Administration of CDS also seeks input throughout the second quarter of the school year regarding homework.  Please have the STUDENT track his/her actual time spent on homework over the course of a week and then have the parent sign off that this is accurate.  The purpose is for us, as a school, to continue to evaluate and re-evaluate our expectations of students desiring that students be challenged but not overly-challenged.  This is a fine line that we need to continue to monitor - and one piece of valuable input is this form.  We would encourage students/parents to choose any week or two between now and Christmas break (with the exception of exam week).  Simply print off the form below.  Keep track of homework.  Sign off on it.  And return it the following week to Mr. Dillon in the High School Office.
